Jesus calms the storm: we must have faith and not despair in the face of difficulties

Jesus calms the storm: we must have faith and not despair in the face of difficulties
Tuesday of the Thirteenth Week in Ordinary Time
Gospel text
Mt 8:23-27
They came and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!” He said to them, “Why are you terrified, O you of little faith?”
Gospel's Commentary
Today the Apostles are embarked in the middle of a storm. Jesus is with them, but asleep. They, desperate, wake him up: we're going to be sunk! The Lord of the heavens and the seas "got up, rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was great calm". —«Why are you afraid? ». The question is still valid. Jesus "sleeps" in the Eucharist, in the intimacy of our temples. Jesus "sleeps", but God sees everything and is everywhere. If it were not so, the boat of the Church would have disappeared centuries ago. Is it not true?
