Gospel text
Mt 10:37-42
Jesus said to his apostles: "... Whoever loses his life for my sake will find it."
Gospel's Commentary
Today we hear several teachings from Jesus that sound sort of "stiff." But in reality everything is simple: "to love God above all things". That is, to love everything in my life with the very heart of Jesus. There is no incompatibility between loving God and loving my parents, my brothers, my own life... Because God himself loves my parents, my brothers, my life... If I am in God, in God I will love everything. - They say that "pain is the touchstone of love". This is why Jesus advises us to adopt the cross. Have you ever thought how much your parents have foregone for you?
