"Everyone who listens to these words of mine but does not act on them will be like a fool who built his house on sand. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. And it collapsed and was completely ruined.”
Gospel's Commentary
Today the "Sermon on the Mount" is over. The marveled crowd listens to Jesus with enjoyment, but some are like some of these bends of the great rivers that descend from the Himalayas: centuries of water running over them, but, however, dry below. Jesus knows that if we do not accept His words, if we do not put them into practice, we can be sure of the failure of our tomorrow life, family and society.
—He does not want us to fail, so He strongly insists upon our building on rock. Thank you Jesus!
