"Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light."
Gospel's Commentary
Today we hear Jesus-God speaking of his own "heart." A gentle and humble heart! St. John described the scene of Christ crucified, with his side pierced by a spear. Contemplating that image helps us to understand that "God's love" is unimaginable.
-Jesus, I immerse myself in your pierced heart and in your love I find rest: you suffer without making suffer; you suffer, but you do not tell us, nor do you keep it in mind ... Forgive us, Lord!
