Gospel text
Mt 28:16-20
Jesus said, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”
Gospel's Commentary
Today we hear the farewell words of Jesus on the day of his Ascension. He had already spoken to us about his Father and the Spirit spontaneously. Christ mentioned - with naturalness - those other two Divine Persons who are in the Heart of God. What a great mystery! They are not three gods, but the Intimacy of God is formed by Three Persons united in a single Love. - The mission that He entrusts to us is to announce to the world this Beauty: God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Thrilling!
