Jesus took Peter, James, and John and led them up a high mountain apart by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his clothes became dazzling... Then Elijah appeared to them along with Moses, and they were conversing with Jesus.
Gospel's Commentary
Today, we attend a solemn moment in the life of Jesus: the Transfiguration. Spectacular! There you can also find Elijah and Moses, the great leaders of Israel in the Old Testament. This is like a review of the history of salvation. It’s like being in Heaven!
- But what are they talking about? They are exactly talking about the sacrifice of Christ in the Cross. Do you know why? Without sacrifice there is neither love nor happiness.
