Jesus' victory over the world gives us strength to face difficulties

Today, some disciples assure Jesus that they believe now He "comes out of God." "Do you believe now?" asks the Lord. The Master asks this question with a tone of sadness: He knows that, at the hour of truth, they will forsake Him. And so it happened during the passion... —God loves us, even though he knows that eventually we may fail Him. Perhaps for fear of the comments our companions may make, perhaps because of weariness... Jesus, the Master, has already warned us of these difficulties. But His triumph, His resurrection, gives us courage.
