Jesus consoles His disciples in their sorrow and promises them that they will rejoice when they see Him again

Today Jesus repeats that we will feel His closeness and that He will accompany us in our troubled times. Doing good requires effort. There is not a noble ideal that is reached without sacrifice. When we do good, our joy is great and we do not remember our difficulties. - Jesus asks us to fight to be good as He is, and if we accept His help, God Himself guides us to sanctity, to Heaven. Neither here, nor there, will anyone be able to take away our joy of living with Jesus.
