Jn 16:16-20
“A little while and you will no longer see me, and again a little while later and you will see me.”
Gospel's Commentary
Today Jesus' words surprise us. The Lord means that when he rises into Heaven, He will not abandon us. God will remain next to us, closer than ever: because He and the Father will send the Holy Spirit to our hearts, because Christ will be present in the Eucharist when the Apostles begin to celebrate mass… - We don’t see Jesus as the Apostles saw Him, but we touch Him more than ever. That is why Jesus said: “Your grief will turn into joy”.
