Jesus to the Apostles: "It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you"

Jesus to the Apostles: "It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you"
Sixth Sunday of Easter (B)
Gospel text
Jn 15:9-17
"As the Father loves me, so I also love you... I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete."
Gospel's Commentary
Today, shortly before his Ascension, Jesus warns us about sadness: he wants us to be happy by remaining united to God. On the day of the Ascension to heaven, Jesus Christ will not go away, as if he were on another planet. He will continue among us. His Body, which died and rose again, is now divinized ... -The Humanity of Jesus has experienced a "leap of quality" living fully as God. Our happiness is total! -Jesus, since you are in heaven, I know that you are always by my side ... and inside me!
