Parables of Jesus: the good shepherd

Today we hear the "Parable of the good shepherd". Jesus uses parables to explain the Love of God,: they are short stories taken from human life (the shepherd, the doctor, the vinedresser ...), that tells us what God is like. -A shepherd is good if he does not run away when the wolf comes: he confronts the wolf and defends his sheep. The good shepherd is willing to give his life for the sheep. This is what Jesus Christ did by giving his life on the Cross!
