Jesus speaks to the disciples about the great mystery of the Eucharist

Today Jesus Christ continues preaching to the Jewish people whom He had fed through the multiplication of loaves and fish. Now He is talking about His Father in Heaven. It is true that Moses had spoken with God as friend to friend. But Jesus stays at a higher level: Jesus speaks with the Father not as a friend, but like the eternal Son in front of His Father. —God is not far away. But, to be close to us, He had sent His Son; and Jesus remains with us in the Blessed Sacrament. We have a “God-with-us”.
